And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I don't think the hard hat would have helped much.
Worked for Georgia Power many years ago.A guy walked under a pole where the top 6' had been sawed off and dropped. Hit him on his hard hat and broke both his ankles. He'd been told to stay away from there.
When I was working in steel mills ( not as a mill employee ), I always kept one eye on what was overhead and made sure I was not under anything going by. That video shows that I was smart to do so.
That had to be loud.

ReplyDelete"Did you have your hearing protection, too?"
ReplyDelete"What? Quit mumbling!"
That's a lot of hurt falling, as an iron worker since '82......Hard hats are more hazardous than protection, they're a big joke.
ReplyDeleteThe hat isn't to save your life.... it's to make it easier to ID the corpse..
