The size of this flag flown on a spanish ship at the battle of Trafalgar (1805)

  1. I guess they wanted everyone to know that they were Spanish.

  2. I thought maybe that was the flag of the Spanish flagship Santissima Trinidad, a 130-gun ship of the line. It would make sense for the flagship to have an extraordinarily endowed flag, but no. It's from the San Ildefonso, a regular 74-gun ship of the line.
