And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Watched an old Episode of Columbo thee other night and they pushed a yellow coupe over a cliff. I can't look at any movie made in the 60's or early 70's without thinking, "If only I had a time machine!"
I just came across, on the Internet, a photo of the for-sale ad for my Aston Martin DB4. Sold it in perfect shape in the late '60s for $3,495. It's now worth $600,000. Do a search for images of "stephan wilkinson aston martin" and scroll down awhile and you'll find it.
Oh man. Me and my brothers were all Mopar. If only we'd kept any of the Road Runners, 'Cudas, Challengers...all pre-1970s. Brother Steve, the youngest kicked up a few notches. He'd build a motor just to wind it up and burn it up. He put scatter shields in all his cars. At one time he had 4 Super Bees, 2 Road Runners, 2 Chargers.
