And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Just from the look of the distant hills, the wide beach, the fine sand, the vegetation, the water and the surf, my guess is the western shores of the U.S. state of Michigan, on Lake Michigan. There are many such high dunes there, along with beautiful, salt-free, shark-free water.
Michigan was my first thought but that is a big place. I was hoping someone would mention a location I could put in my GPS and see if I still have it, that looks like fun... It's been a long time since I said "that was a mistake" right after I launched... I'll be 67 tomorrow.
Better keep those knees up.....that sand would work em down to the bone....I remember running down the lakeside of a sand dune in Benton Harbor Mi. that looked a lot like that.....when I hit the water I like to froze my little tookers off....
