Trouble with Turkey and Russia

An increasing number of advanced shoulder fired "Man-portable air-defense systems" or MANPADS are showing up in Idlib, alarmingly in the hands of al-Qaeda linked factions such as US terror designated Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.
But now the Kremlin is charging Turkey's military with orchestrating the campaign to shoot down Russian aircraft over the war-torn northwest Syrian province.
Reuters now reports that "Russian state television said on Thursday Turkish military specialists in Syria's Idlib region were using shoulder-fired missiles to try to shoot down Russian and Syrian military aircraft."
Video at the link of soldiers shooting at a Russian aircraft, and then shouting in Turkish.
Putin will not be amused at this.

Interesting comments at Zero Hedge.  Take this with a huge grain of salt.

... And just minutes ago Russian fighters bombed Turkish ground forces. More than a hundred dead and wounded. Turkish gov. in emergency meeting called by Erdogan.
Looks like these idiots were played once again, assuming nato would cover their backs after they attack Russia.
Twitter has become unavailable across Turkey as of 11:30 p.m. local time for users of national provider Turk Telekom following alleged attack on Turkish troops in Idlib; other social media currently unaffected; developing situation

  1. Who cares about what going down in the middle-east. According to the Democrat controlled media we're all gonna die in a month from the Corona virus and it's all Trump's fault.

    1. Look at it this way - it’ll likely be harder to control in high population areas, especially in the more poorly run large cities, which are nearly if not all Democrat strongholds and have been for decades. Since that just *can’t* be their fault, it must be someone else’s - therefore it’s all Trump’s fault. ;-)

  2. Putin is about to realize the essential truth about the Mid-East, it requires a big bankroll to play in that casino.
What he is losing isn't worth the table stakes.

  3. Erdrogan got a lesson in what it's like to play with the big dogs when you're a chihuahua, i.e. barking rat.
