    1. I was always amazed with the cam timing numbers of radial engines. but, if you wish to get really amazed by mechanical magic, check out the British Bristol Hercules radial engine. with 18 cylinders and sleeve valves. you will absolutely be surprised.

  3. There are a few cutaway P+W 4360's in museums, electrically powered so they can turn over to see the parts move. Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinville OR has one- it's like looking at four of the worlds biggest Swiss watches all linked together.

  4. Wait a second - are there two ignition cycles per fill cycle? What the heck is going on here? Now I'm going to have to read about radial engines......

    1. No, it is a 4 stroke, just one ignition stroke, the other is a compression stroke.
