Ayers Rock Waterfall, Australia

  1. I had a job in Alice Springs a few years back. Not much to do there. One of the locals took me and my crew to the national park where this is located on one of our days off. It is a beautiful place.

  2. I'm sure (nearly sure) that the Aussies would take a dim view of you skinny dipping in the swimming holes in their waterfall.

  3. Ayers Rock is sacred to the aboriginals, they don't even want you climbing it.

    1. That is a bunch of PC BS. The first white man to climb Ayers rock was shown the route by his Aboriginal guide. The truth is most Abos are too fat and drunk to do it so they don't like anyone else doing it.

  4. Climbing is banned now. And it's no longer Ayer's Rock, it's called "Uluru"

    1. The Ausies used to be a lot of fun and now they've turned into fun-stoppers. What the heck happened to the Aussies of yesteryear? Have they stopped drinking Fosters and Red Stripe?

    2. LL, only TV people drank Fosters and I have no idea what Red Strip is. Don't trust the media. Otherwise I would think every Yank was a gun toting redneck.

  5. every rock in the Sonoran desert is sacred to some local tribe, but this fact is announced only after a construction project is proposed

    1. Don't want those pesky jobs around. Might have to apply for one or loose the unemployment benefits.

  6. Same as happened everywhere else... feminisation of our culture and the redefinition of everything that was fun as a form of oppression. Matthew is right, nobody in OZ drinks Fosters and Red Stripe is hard to find. VB and XXXX were the beers of choice of the average Aussie male. It's all pretentious craft beers now.

If you head out to the bush you still see the old Australia and there's still plenty of fun to be had, cheers!
