Oooo! Love me some chicken hearts. Can't get them now where I live, ate the heck out of them all my life, grandma served them up at least once a week, she knew the value, and how good they are for you as a growing kid, just love the flavor and texture. Amy one know what they do with them now?
Is that bread, bisquits, or cornbread?

ReplyDeleteUsed to be you bought a chicken and the heart, liver, gizzard and neck were tucked into the cavity.
ReplyDeleteIf you get your fresh whole chickens at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, they have the chicken guts tucked in the cavity. My puppies love them.
DeleteThrifty Produce in Merritt Island, Fl. sells them by the pound.
DeleteI'll take the red meat and you can give that other stuff to the dog. I take that back wouldn't do that to my dog.
ReplyDeleteLots of livers and a few gizzards but never hearts. Didn’t know there was such a thing.
