And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Speaking of high-tension power lines... many years ago my wife and I considered purchasing a 10+ acre horse property in Bucks County, PA. The entry to the property had those electrical lines crossing over it. We called the local power company and had a technician come and test the area under the wires and then went inside of the house and tested the kitchen area next to the refrigerator. The fridge put out far more "radiation" inside of the home than the high-tension power lines did. That convince us to put an offer on the property. Unfortunately, the seller decided to take the property off the market and continue living there.
My point is that high-tension power lines are not as "dangerous" as people may think that they are.
I have no sense of scale for that thing. At first, I thought it was like high school track (for running) which wouldn't have the oblong shape. Then I noticed what looks like a car in the right foreground. It looks like it could handle a few of those, but with no stands, it's clearly not for anything like stock car racing with paying spectators.
Those are some tight turns.
ReplyDeleteTurn left!
ReplyDeleteToo bad the high tension power lines are placed so close to it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I saw the same. I'm guessing the land cost was reduced because of that. I do like that track design - oblong tracks are boring.

DeleteIt's clearly a running track for people.
DeleteSpectator seating is pretty scarce...
ReplyDeleteAre people so bored as to watch other people running?
DeleteEliminating the spectator seating reduces the local retardation rate.
