    1. Looks like a couple of different calibers.
Maybe another rifle on the other side of the hay burner.

  2. My first thoughts were 405 winchester and a 1895 winchester lever action.
I could use help with the saddle.

    2. I know very little about saddles. However, that one looks more comfortable than most because of the high backrest.

    3. The rear of the saddle is the cantle. This is a high cantle now described as a trail saddle.

    4. That's a hill-climber saddle. Some might say his scabbard's on backwards, but it's just a little bit low, maybe too horizontal. It looks like he'll have a sore calf after a long day. Hung this way, it looks like he only plans to pull it after he dismounts. He's a salty looking dude.

    1. Aggie: It's a joke. Almost every photo of someone in western wear (especially ones of cowgirls), some turd says that her hat's on backwards.

  7. That horse doesn't look too happy about the whole thing, bridles and halters are generally not used together, for good reason.

    1. Probably left the bridle on as a way to secure old bag of bones when they "stopped for gas".

  8. With that much ammo, he’s probably law enforcement. I wouldn’t want him on my trail.

  9. Probably has a pistol on his right hip, so the top bandolier rounds are for it..
