Too far gone? NO! Get a gander at that winch! Serious tool.

  3. Once, when I was tramping around the Sierra, I happened upon a barn find that looked exactly like this. I believe it was out in the woods past Avery, CA, up on Highway 4.

  7. Where I used to work, it was inferred that if anyone was stupid enough to leave, or use, a winch cable like that photo, they would end up driving the service truck if they were lucky.

  8. That looks like what a friend started with. He spent 3 years building it. He stretched the cab to an extended cab to fit on a 98 Dodge 3/4 ton truck frame that had a fresh 12-valve Cummins engine. The bed was too far gone and he fabbed up an aluminum bed and running boards. He transferred all of the creature comfort items over and added heated and AC power seats.
