And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

A 1958 Power Wagon W100. One of 290 produced that year. 3,399 miles on the odometer.
Back in the 50's my Dad used to spell Dodge "Dog"....I remember he had a brand new Dodge 3/4 ton rack truck in 1955....we were in Savannah Georgia where he was working at Hunter Army Air Field painting the parking apron for the B-36's....he was going through an intersection when the drive shaft decided to fall out from under the truck and caused a Chinese laundry truck to crash into a tree....in traffic court that morning, this Chinese guy walks in and the Judge says "Hey, Chang, what happened to my shirts this morning?".....I think you can guess the outcome of that incident....true story....
Use caution. While the caption above the opening photo says "unrestored", the details say it's a "ground up restoration".
ReplyDeleteStill, it is a beautiful pickup from back when factory 4WD pickups were just getting their legs.
Boy, that front bumper is sure out there.
ReplyDeleteYeah, noticed that too. What function does that clearance serve ?
DeleteGotta mount the winch somewhere, right?
DeleteThe winch is sitting in front of the truck & behind the bumper.
DeleteNot a big fan of red vehicles but man, that sure is purty.
ReplyDeleteThat'll draw 6 figures for sure.
So it has 103,399 miles on it or 203,399 or 3...
ReplyDeleteLove that winch!

ReplyDeleteWe had a 59 2wd Fleetside with a very heavy overhead camper that took us all over the west. Best times of my life and never left us stranded.
