And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

This came in the mail today. It's a liner lock - very simple and solid. First "in person" impression is that it should make a good tool/tacklebox/truck knife
Back just before Iraqi Freedom kicked off I was doing a Southern Watch mission in Kuwait. I got sent to Afghanistan for 3 weeks to install a fiber line down Main Street, that was before it got re-named to Disney Ave. When I got to Bagram and checked in with the 25th Commo unit they issued me a new set of calfskin gloves, new boots, and Auto Benchmade knife.
The Benchmade has been my daily carry for the past 20 years. It is a military only model. I had it sharpened by Benchmade at a gun show where the technician that sharpened the knife gave me all kinds of bling, a hat, stickers, and a coffee mug. He then thanked me for my service and told me that my knife was the first military only model he had run across.

DeleteRan a triple shitload of fiber and CAT5 at Bagram right about that time. When Bagram was small and fun. 40th SIG
DeleteI don't like blades with scallops. They are too hard to sharpen.
