And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
"Time Tunnel", great mid-60s TV series. Not as good as "The Outer Limits" and certainly not the earlier "Alfred Hitchcock Presents". Reruns of all 3 would beat the ratings for the faux reality crap on TV.
When the water is low, there is a place like that on the Santa Fe river in Alachua County, Florida. Nothing quite that spectacular, though. I stumbled across it while canoeing and could hear it before I rounded a bend.
