And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

If I was gonna get an Avanti, this would be the one.
with the factory supercharger it was the fastest car in America. Problem was the numbers came out for the avanti so tight to the deadline for the year the corvette (chevy) threatened to cause trouble. seems the people that did the fiberglass for Studebaker also did it for chevy and chevy got 1st dibs since they had money. If you do research the Avanti was a better car all the way around the the corvette but Studebaker didn't have the money to compete. BTW Studebacker made their own superchargers in their Paxton products division

DeleteWith the lack of a conventional grille, I'm surprised nobody has dropped the Avanti body on a Tesla drivetrain. Seems like it'd be natural.

ReplyDeleteFYI the round headlights were only on the '63's (my dad had one.) The '64's and the later Avanti II's have square deadlights.
