A Useful Tool

  1. They're handy. I have a Leupold version.

Still want to know what effing knuckleheads in marketing or product engineering for both brands decided to have these things use a completely different battery than half the flashlights, weapon lights, and NV sights on the market.

The parties responsible for that jack@$$ery should be pilloried at the annual SHOT Show for the entire week, while anyone present was allowed to walk up and kick them in the junk once or twice.

It would be the hit of the whole show, and "Dumbest Idea Ever" could be voted on online every year after, and made into an annual feature.

    1. I've had this one for a few years and it works well, as long as you learn the learning curve. Little things between you and the thing you're ranging will mess it up. Like a tiny branch on the side of a tree that you can't see with the naked eye.

And yeah, the CR123 batteries. Required me to get a whole nuther series of batteries and a new charger. As if I don't already have enough batts and chargers sitting around here.

  2. Wife and I both had one of these (I've actually had two). The optics were horrible, they were somewhat slow to range and proved unreliable in terms of battery life. Replaced with Lieca rangefinders and have been very happy since. On short range hunts, or when I'm looking to hunt as light as possible, I leave the binoculars at camp since the glass on the Liecas is that good. Could never do that with the Bushnell.

  3. I enjoy the amazon ad section posts, BUT, the posts should be titled
    ´currently unavailable´

    1. Unavailable? Says in stock and the website allowed me to ad it to the cart. Odd.

    3. Amazon can be odd, especially this season. It does look at who you are where you go there and might offer you a strange selection.
I was looking for a book "White girl bleed a lot" and simply going to Amazon and doing a search it only sent me to a page with a used copy for $600.
On some site I mentioned it and another commenter gave a link to an Amazon page with more reasonable prices. That seems to be a 'banned' book. Even the library says they don't have it.

I'm still looking to get rid of the three laser toner cartridges that they sent me in place of the britta water filters.

  4. FWIW, I don't believe any of CW's link have show available and a price. Copying the name, and re-searching myself usually turns up something, or searching @ Amazon.ca (yes, I'm in the Great White).

I have decided that Amazon is showing different prices (see John's comment) and availability depending on who and where you are. F....!

I've also noticed divergences depending on my login status. Double F!

  5. Edit: by availability and price, I mean, "Sorry, no gots!"
