And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
A better film than I thought it would be. Only dud bit was, in my view, Rambo going on an emotional rant toward the end. It seemed out of character somehow.
Disagree, that speech at the end was meant to tell the world of the unjust way our troops were treated when they came home from Nam during that time period.
Two different bikes used. The flying bike is a dirt/enduro type. "Then Came Bronson" tv series did the same trick, A Sportster for pavement, and a Hodaka for jumps.
There was a RR crossing that had a huge ramp not far from where I grew up. I could get great air at 45 mph but I had to lock down on the brakes upon landing or I would slide into the parallel highway.
is that Du...uhh Rambo?

DeleteI could have killed them all. I could have killed you. In town you are the king shit cop. Out here, it is all me.
ReplyDeleteI used to do shit like that, on bikes like that, didn't stick EVERY landing. Might have something to do with my abundance of aches and pains.
ReplyDeleteLately I've been thinking I should reread First Blood.
ReplyDeleteI got my Dad's Fiat 124 airborne at a RR crossing, I forgot it was there and hit it doing about 70mph. The car and I both survived.

Jumped my Ducati 350 scrambler once, just to prove I could.
