And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Vincent Price and Boris Karloff kidding around behind the scenes of "The Raven" (1963)
Jack Nickleson was also in the cast. Interesting fact, the movie "The Terror" was made after "Raven", right after. Roger Corman was the cheapest producer in Hollywood; he had the props, the costumes, the sets and a few days left on Boris's contract. Roger wrote a quick script and shot another movie in a few days.
You have to wonder if they knew, at the time, what absolute quintessential classics they were at that moment; or if, like with Casablanca, they were just working on this week's paying gig.
I've seen outtakes, they did ideed have a few laffs. peter lorre, too.
ReplyDeleteThey scared me as a kid and the didn’t need all this Satanic shit to do it.
