Bronze door on the Cathedral of St Nicholas in the capital city of Ljubljana, Slovenia

  1. Its funny... stuff like that killed whatever faith I had in the organization called 'The Church'.
    Instead of helping the people, they enriched themselves and their organization, wielding power like drunken tyrants. Bronze sculpted doors for the church, while the worshippers starved to tithe.

  3. You're used to Gummint hiring for public works - and hiring the worst of the worst including invaders. In old Christendom the Church hired local skilled workers and paid a living wage which allowed them to afford to tithe money to help the worthy poor, and fund charity hospitals.

    And that's without understanding that artists and artisans burn the desire to make what is beautiful and eternal and good. Which this is. Compare to public art now.

    (Not Catholic by the way, just tired of how fast lies spread)
