And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

“The Funeral of a Viking” (1893)-Sir Francis Bernard Dicksee (1853 -1928, English)
told the wife I wanted a Viking funeral . she say what, you don't have a boat. to whit, I tell her to drag my dead ass down to the lake, find a boat you don't like toss me on it with a few gallons of gas and set it afire after you cut it loose. she didn't find that funny. I not sure why.
