And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Tail end of summer campout. Looks like the Oregon coast somewhere.
Sadly, the smoke is so bad in Oregon right now(due in LARGE part to piss-poor forest management, NOT GLOBULL WARMING). I'd be hard pressed to enjoy camping.
Vancouver (both of them) is an inland city, camping on the beach amongst the driftwood (like the picture) is a common thing up the WA coast in the Olympic Nat Park.
The best time to go camping is approaching. No bugs, reasonable temperatures, rare rain. Maybe this will be the year I don't come back...

ReplyDeleteIt does. Camped a number of times along the beach back when I lived in Seattle.
DeleteCould be anywhere from north of Marin County to Vancouver, which amounts to the same thing.
