And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Not the barbarians I was expecting or see on the news today. I guess when they smack you with a club (or machete or use a gun), drag off the females and burn your house down it won't matter where they came from.
Wonderful movie with a gag built in. One scene has a vast field of the dead bodies from a mass sacrifice. I’ve never been able to see it but I’m told amongst all that hideous carnage is an extra dressed as Waldo from “Where’s Waldo”
I thought this was a great movie on many levels. It is a great period piece with excellent costumes, sets, and dialogue. It’s about the relationship of family and friends and how that love binds people. It’s also a very good action adventure movie. Truly a spectacle and entertaining. However I think at it’s heart, it’s a story of a bloated, corrupt ruling class, the cruel administrative and mercenary class who benefit from, and who keep the rulers in power, and the lower class who suffer from the system.
