And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Does anyone remember the human juke box guy that used to hang around down at the wharf in SF? I paid him a quarter once in '79 (I think) to play Sweet Georgia Brown and he tacked on a verse of Little Brown Jug at the end, between all the off the cuff comedy and evangelism.
I immediately thought of the old recordings of Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt with the Quintette du Hot Club de France. They even have guitars in the style of the Selmer-Maccaferri instruments popularized by Django.
On the plus side, a lot of very fine and fancy dancing going on there!
On the down side, too many man buns. Is everybody a hipster?
Yes sir, Grappelli was hot stuff all right and Reinhardt did his guitar gunslinging with a crippled left hand that only had a couple of functioning fingers.
Why do man buns matter? You're all obsessed with man buns, LGBT, tats and anything slightly different. Why? What are you afraid of? Just live and let live, life is too short to be prejudiced, bitter and twisted.
