  3. In early 1969, I bought a 1962 in West Berlin from a State department guy for $250.00….my yearly Insurance was 285.00….

    In 1971, I sold it to a tanker Lieutenant for $300.00 when I DEROSed back to the States…

    1. My wife bought a '69 VW with a sunroof new when she was about to go to college. She still has it, and also has the original invoice. I can't remember the exact number but I believe she paid just over $2300 for it.
      Adjusted for inflation, today that would be just over $19,000.
