    1. Looks like they have that runoff channeled pretty well over 150 years or so. I'll have to go see how cold it gets before I pack up.

  4. Northern Nevada has similar places with ranches/tiny communities built at base of mountain range where runoff emerges. Many well over 100 years old, too. See for example west side of 305 S. of Austin NV - beautiful. Not quite as green and no stone towers, yet.
