  1. The reason I have a 74 Stingray convertible that I can barely afford is because my dream car is a 62 convertible that is way out of my price range. My Stingray has 47k miles and it is worth about $35k. I have at least $65K tied up in it that my wife knows about.

  2. The Corvette I want I can't afford. The Corvette I can afford I don't want.

    1. I want one of the new mid engine 'Vettes, but I can't afford it either. As my friends like to point out, I'm too old to get in and out of the thing anyway.

  3. My BF had various Corvettes through the years: 58, 63, 69, and 72. I liked none of them as I found them not easy to see out of, comfortable, and not that easy to drive. I had a 70 Camaro Z28 (RS style) that took me over a year to put together and was faster than all my friend's cars except the 72. I later sold my Z28 when I was going to college in 75.

  4. Love the car, hate the oversized rims. I'll bet the short stiff sidewalls make you feel every crack in the pavement.
