And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That box on top of the Ford Wagon is exactly like the one my Dad had on top of the '51 Merc he and us boys used to go camping in. No travel trailer, just sleeping on the ground while the Chipmunks ran amok. Great times!
Something is amiss in the second picture. Driver-side front fender is crunched, car is sitting at the edge of the road, and water is leaking from beneath the trailer. Clearly, a ruined vacation scene!
Ican remember that sweet smell of leaded gas being pumped back in those days. Great photos!
