And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
E-type Series 1 FHC (Fixed Head Coupe) as the Brits say. Sadly, in the mid '60s the DOT in the US outlawed knock-off wheels, mistakenly believing they were dangerous.
Jaguar-Rover Group was owned by Ford from 2002 until 2008 as part of its luxury division along with Volvo and Aston-Martin. Ford sold Jaguar-Land Rover to an Indian steel magnate named Tata in 2008. That was one of the reasons that Ford survived the 2008 crisis without a govt bailout. Ford also sold off Aston-Martin to an Arabian consortium and Volvo to a Chinese company at about the same time. BMW owned Jaguar-Rover Group from 1998 to 2002, they kept the Mini trademark but sold everything else to Ford. My '03 Range Rover had a BMW engine and electronics. I changed the timing chains and guides on that horrible BMW V8 but constant electronic problems had me ready to "wash it with gasoline and dry it with a match". Al_in_Ottawa
Always loved the XKE's. The roadsters body tho was the better looking by far! Only thing I don't like is that exhaust messing up the lines. Should have exited the side. Just my opinion. Bubbarust
Vette!

My dad had a 1960 Austin Healy Sprite, had the bug eye headlights. When I was little he'd let me operate the gearshift lever.
