  3. I've had my eye on this one for some time. It would be a great stablemate to my Yak 3, if I had a Yakolev 3.

    1. No, this was built from the git-go to be a fighter jet pilot trainer.

The AirTractor AT-802 is the cropduster turned into a CAS attack plane.

  5. first Pilatus I ever saw was a Porter. I was on a 2-3 day detail near Quang-Tri city. Across the road aways was some outpost or the other that rated air-messenger service once or twice per day. STOL was new to me and along with the unique sound of the engine, the Porter became a private airshow of sorts.

  7. You think they'd be able to get the exhaust stacks level.

    1. The airflow from the prop swirls in the same direction as the propeller rotation. The exhaust stacks are shaped to create the least drag in the prop's airflow and to keep the exhaust gases from discolouring the paint.
If you have a King Air you can install Frakes stacks. https://www.frakesaviation.com

  10. I think it's hilarious that we can build jets that reach 3 times the speed of sound but nobody can afford to pump fuel into one all day so now our military is looking at THIS.
