And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Saw the film in Athens (as I recall) in about 1979. It was in English but had Greek subtitles which meant first wife and I laughed before the locals. One of my boys got a DVD copy for me many years later (post divorce so ex didn't get to take it) and I still watch it from time to time. You'd never get away with some of the sketches, like the Thrill Seekers one, today which means its darned funny. Bill Bixby was having fun.
