And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I was there back in the early 60s. '64, I think. My father was stationed at Adair, AFS and he took leave and we went over to the southern Oregon coast and well into northern kali, which wasn't fascist yet.
Trees of Mystery was a very nice place. I won't go back because I won't drop any money in the commie state.
Do kids today look at the world with a sense of wonder like we did?
