And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The gal riding hard through the field on horseback looks happy to be out, and as Southside Tony noted, the gal on that motorcycle does have a lovely tush.
I like #15! #22... there is something about that picture I really like :-) 2 VW pictures, both real clean buses #34 even has a gas gauge! #28 is almost magic..
All those switchbacks... I was in Oregon heading west towards Eugene and boy was that road windy! There was one hairpin turn that I was worried my 86 Ford van might not make it... it did but it was close. That was a road where you should really pay attention to sign that said "No trailers over XX length" at the beginning of it.
That sign reminds me quite a bit of the sign for the Fresh Pond Cafeteria at the bottom of Fresh Pond Hill, just east of Pollock Pines, CA. The cafeteria is long gone, but the sign was still there, last I knew of.
I was lucky enough to have eaten breakfast there in the '80s. It was a neat place, very popular with the tourists heading to South Shore.
Gotta love that tush on #22, and I was always a sucker for suicide doors like the ones on #33

ReplyDeleteMy first thought whenever I see somebody standing on a motorcycle. If you're gonna do that, for God's sake don't do it while I'm watching.
