How much could it have cost to build that place there?

  1. The proper question is:
How much is that kind of solitude and security worth to you?
(Not to mention the unbeatable view.)

    1. That camera angle is deceiving, that place isn't as isolated as you might think. There's a noisy metropolis just beyond the right side.

    2. Machts nichts. The only access is airdrop, or one long, skinny bridge.
With a literal ocean in between you and the neighbors.
I never said it was isolated.
      Just secure and private.

  2. How much? If you gotta ask, you can't afford it....

  3. Only the government could afford that place.

  6. Less than it cost to dig that moat around it.

  7. The kind of money people like climate activists Leonardo DiCaprio make to read someone elses' lines. He just bought a big island so he's lying about rising oceans.

  8. Anna could buy it with that 80k a week she makes at google.

    2. Good question. Maybe a low tide concrete walkway to that other rock but it's at high tide?

  10. I think it's wonderful that the wealthy among us spend some of their wealth making beautiful places. Most of us can't, but would if we could. Leave beautiful architecture for future generation. Think European castles and cathedrals which now are virtually works of art.

    1. Sure, but that place looks like a McMansion.

    2. Negative. McMansions require multiple ones (like a burger assembly line) in the same development. This is a standalone, in a lovely location, and it looks just like a nice spacious place. Moderately modern style.

  11. Once you look at the view there really isn't much to do. Can't fish or boat. Take a hike? Read a book.

  14. Modest house, easy to build from a carpenter. Only getting materials there is the trick.

That pik is in high tide.
When the tide is out there is long beach all around it.

  16. That is at high tide.
At low tide, you can walk right up to the “island”.

    1. Right. And then just scale the 60-80' cliff face. Easy peasey.

  17. I've designed many residential and commercial properties on islands, and several bridges. A ballpark figure for the above project would be $4mil as you see it. That same project, on normal land, would cost half as much. Keep in mind that all utilities are running through that bridge.
