And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
His Wiki page says they've done MRI scans in an attempt to research his lack of fear. He definitely is a different cat, living life on his own terms. You've got to admire that.
"Free Solo" goes into his nonchalant mentality that shows as 'no fear' when he does El Cap...Jimmy Chin couldn't watch thru the lens on the "tough spots". Unreal.

Same with hang gliding, one pin comes out and yer toast, but people do it every day. In Free Solo, his girlfriend, a very good climber herself, knows she is second, but the risk anxiety gets to her.
Stud. Low amigdayla activity like most adrenaline junkies but lower. Watched him do the El Cap thing. Amazing, prior to it his girlfriend nearly destroyed his career by failing on a belay and him hitting the ground.
Alex Honnold knows no fear…wrecks the concentration.
