  1. Did a little research to discover that it's not a creek, it's a 120' wide spring fed waterfall feeding into the Sacramento River. Beautiful.

Did you ever get curious about what the underground reservoirs look like that feed these fantastic springs year round? I sure have. We have one that has supplied water to our ranch house that has never slowed down or dried up during 168 years of Northern California droughts.

  3. Was a resort on the Southern Pacific Railroad dating back to the late 1800s or early1900s. There was a pavilion where passengers could taste the mountain water. Was called Shasta Springs. There was a cable car to the top where there was a lodge and cabins. Real popular with summer tourists. The water was shipped on railroad cars.

    1. It's the Icelandic Daughter. She and The Captain waded the creek to get to the falls. The ice cold creek. Brrrr!
