  2. I'd be afraid to NOT buy food from him. Back in my misspent youth I hitchiked across the US to work in the Green Giant pea canning factory in Dayton, Washington. It was a weird and wild summer, but I got to see a lot of the country that could be seen only from the ground level. I'm not sure if the Green Giant Co. still has a plant there or not.

      Last time we went to Walla Walla we went the route that goes through Dayton. There’s a Seneca plant on the eastern edge of town that processes apples for juice or sauce, but I think the fresh pea plant is gone.

  6. Drove past the 'welcome to the valley' billboard with the green giant on it north of Le Sueur, MN on HWY 169 many times when lived in MN.
