Now that's a floor

  1. Dear Ghostsniper, I look forward to your take on the technique used to create this lovely floor pattern. At first I thought it was some kind of inlay process, but on closer inspection it appears to be different types of stain over a standard hardwood floor?

    1. I too am waiting for Mr Ghostsniper. You can see the planks fairly clear and I suspect some kind of stencil arrangement was used. The flooring to me looks like long leaf yellow pine ; the old growth type with the tight rings. It is beautiful for sure.

    2. Yup. Ordinary hardwood floor, epic staining project.

    3. That is paint. Can't tell the wood type, don't think it's pine. Nails close to the end would split the pine.

  2. Also the claw foot on what appears to be a very fancy bathtub. A great place to have a bath.

  3. Funny, trying to make a wood floor look like vinyl tile...
