Audrey Hepburn and William Holden on the set of Sabrina (1954). When people knew how to dress.

  1. I notice he's standing on about 2" thick lumber and she's in flat-heeled shoes. I guess that means she was too tall for the characters and how they're supposed to look next to each other. They'd be almost eye to eye if she had even small heels on and he wasn't on that wood.

Ever seen how small Natalie Portman is next to Chris Hemsworth and what they do to have them play opposite each other in the Thor movies? Opposite problem. She's walking on a platform in almost every shot.

  2. She was 5'7" and Holden 5'11"

Portman is 5'3" and Thor is 6'3".

  3. Appears to be a colorized B&W image.

  4. It’s probably Bogart, not Holden, that they were worried would look too short looking next to Audrey.

  5. Capri pants and tight sweaters, I think I see where Laura Petrie picked up her fashion style.

  6. Much superior to the Harrison Ford remake.

    1. I agree. Some movies should NEVER be remade.

    2. Agree. The remake is awful. But then there is a certain atmosphere in 50's films than cannot be reproduced today. Films like "North by Northwest" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's" come to mind.
