And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
$4.42 a quart in south Texas, but sporadically found. Not sure if sold out or limited shipments. About a $1 more than Kraft, but tastier, at least to us.
I was raised on Miracle Whip, not real mayo. (My mom worked for Heinz back in the 1940's.) Which I think has vinegar in it, so is tangier. So real mayo comes across as overly sweet to me in most uses.
It's got Twang.
ReplyDeleteDuke's mayo is $5.49 for a 32 ounce jar in grocery stores around here right now in South Carolina.

ReplyDeleteDuke's is definitely not bland and sweet, like Hellman's mayo.
DeleteIt's got a whang to it.
Fabulous product.
ReplyDeleteI actually don't know what mayo tastes like. If I've ever had it, it was accidental. something about the texture and color has always repelled me.
ReplyDeleteProbably should try it someday.
The only mayo I’ll buy.
ReplyDeleteBlue Plate (made in Nawlins) is what I grew up on, Duke's was the default when I first moved to NC until Food Lion started stocking Blue Plate.
ReplyDeleteDuke's is the best mayo, but that price is stupid expensive.
