  6. Carson shouldn't be on that list. Lots of people (millions?) have died because of her DDT scaremongering.

    2. Yep. Made us choose Eagles vs Human Children. Although they're magnificent, we blindly chose the Eagles and humanity has paid the price.

  7. This is just the European version. I'm sure the African and Asian and South American versions are even more impressive.

    1. Go look up this paper that documents some of the early results from the Webb telescope. The first word in the title is "Panic". Turns out a lot of what we think we know about the universe doesn't hold up and the world of Astronomy is in an uproar. It is signed by some very credible scientists.

  17. I am assured that there are some Chinese mathematicians and physicists that should be on the lists. German chemists lead their field of study for decades. French researches into practical uses of physics cannot be denied. Arab studies into mathematics, written language and optics generally is ignored by other cultures. the one great population lacking input to the advances in any sciences is sub-Saharan Africa until they were exposed to European and Asian influences. I may be wrong on that, but then I doubt I am.
