And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Yup, gonna have some real nice rod-burn there. I'm surprised he's not just holding a hand up instead of wearing his helmet . Nice flathead setup though, but I can tell you, setting those points is a bitch.
One of the first cars I ever set points on was on an old Flattie with that style of distributor. I still have one hanging in my old shop and I'll have to get it down tomorrow and look at it again. Also have the distributor caps and the metal spark plug wire tubes with the wires still inside. Not as bad to set as the dual points on my '70 340 Duster with the distributor by the firewall, but still a major pain.
Had a 68 Plymouth sport fury 318 ci with distributor against the firewall, i found that since the distributor shaft was not gear spline'd but paddle in slot I would remove and set points outside of engine compartment never needed to but I new if I put it back out of time all I had to do was to flip the paddle 180 degrees.
welding without gloves, the man is a genius.
