  2. I took a drink out of a brooke like that once. It was approximately half way between Durango and Telluride, CO. Cold, pure, unadulterated water running from much higher ground.. Very, very nice!

  3. Lived in a renovated small barn in the western Oregon Rockies that had feeder line necked down to an inside sink from a similar stream..

    Gorgeous water than was melted snow the hour before

  4. A lot of mountain stream water, no matter how clear, has micro beasties in it.

  5. Giardia causes diarrhea and stomach pain. Found in high mountain streams infected animals have urinated in. Never heard of it until I moved to Colorado.
