And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I've been waiting five months for my Ruger carbine, no joy there. I've been thinking about picking up a basic 12 gauge for the house. Since I'm not into hunting birds, very basic. Large rats only.
I have one that came with the door breach muzzle extension, like the first one. For house use, in case the rats get out of hand, and i has to get up close 'n personal, like.
I am not a big fan of a shotgun for protection. It is too limited on firepower. I would rather have a Glock 20 10mm with an extended capacity magazine or a semi-auto SBR with a 30 round magazine.
The pistol gripped only models (2 and 4) are easier to keep on your person wherever you go. Slung muzzle down, they are much easier to carry about while doing daily tasks. When seated, easy to keep firearm across lap for quicker use.
Their accuracy suffers from inability to shoulder and point at target. Practice in their use is highly recommended - there are techniques which help out in that respect.
You would not believe how often shotgun shooters in 3 gun matches screw up the pump action. (Along with select-a-slug scenarios) The Benelli auto types are much more reliable when crunch time comes.
legal in CA?

DeleteYes.
DeleteNext question.
Third one down might be a bit close though.
Delete#3 for me please...
ReplyDeleteI think that that gun with the wood furniture might get you some time in the slammer.
ReplyDeleteIt might be a tad under the length requirement for ownership without a tax stamp.
DeleteI thought those were hole punches of various diameters.

I have a Remington 870 pump action shotgun. Very popular gun, there are millions out there.
