  1. -got a couple of those file handles and a box full of Starret/Brown&Sharpe/Lufkin/Union combination squares, scales, centering heads&protractors. In the day, several outfits made precision tools.

  2. That round brass item underthe bell shaped drill gage a line level? It’d weigh a ton!

    1. it's v-notched every 90º to accept something, and there's a notch at 45º- danged if I know. maybe non-sparking/magnetic on purpose.

  3. I think that is a no. 44 Stanley bit level. Thumbscrew would lock
    on bit to keep you level as you drilled.
