  1. Which blue stripes? I'm seeing light blue vertically, darker blue horizontally. The horizontals definitely aren't parallel to each other.

    2. Take a look at the vertical squares and the thin center lines go the same direction. Look at the horizontal squares and the thin center lines zig zag
      out of sync, giving the illusion that they are not parallel.

  5. Squint until all the lines are straight - your eyes will be nearly closed but the lines will be straight and parallel. (I live near DC - you have to look at everything like this because nothing is as it seems)
