And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The last old growth Forest Service job I worked on I averaged 10 logs in two trips a day. A few of those loads over that half season long job were 3 log loads. That was in 1983, the first year I ran my own truck. That sale was near Alder Creek, near Kyburz, CA. That same ground all burned up in the Caldor Fire last year.
That picture above is an off-highway rig with 12' bunks. Those are some big logs.
Someone's doing some salvage logging north of Coos Bay. I've seen several three-log loads in the last couple of months and the logs are slightly charred.
I've heard of these but never seen one. Best I've seen was a 5 log load about a month ago

DeleteIt could even be as late as the '80s. I'm sending CW evidence as to why I believe that to be true.
DeleteHope they don't get stopped at a mobile DOT weight station. They are going to be overweight.
