And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Friday evening drive to the remote campground. Roll this out in the bed. Get up pre dawn on the river and you're ready for a morning of trout fishing. Thinking somewhere on the Scott or Trinity River for this plan.

ReplyDeleteCW, I used to fish the Scott near Callahan in the mid 60s. Could catch the occasional late steelhead early in the season.
ReplyDeleteHad lots of fun on those rivers back in the '80s. Beaver Creek too. Sure do miss that area. Those were some of the best times of my life. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAh, the Yakima in Yakima Cayon (visit the resort and cafe!) or the Cle Elum. A bit obscure but exquisite.
