I certainly hope this is true

  1. The SJC stuck it too the EPA's Green Agenda yesterday. Now to get the leases and permits back to where they should be.

  2. And red china joe is trying to shut down production in that area.

  3. Reminds me of the energy crisis in the '70s. The EPA was requiring well owners to cap producing wells (pour concrete down the shaft essentially requiring a new well to be drilled if they wanted oil from that source) while the public was being told we couldn't produce enough oil to meet demand.

  4. I live here. And gas is $4.49.

  5. I saw the report from that guy who studied the Permian basin and he said just think of it as infinite. They'll never get the last drops out of that basin.

That 200 years figure includes a lot of growth in demand, too.

"Infinite" is a big word and probably not a good one to use, but it does underline and put a fluorescent highlighter on how much oil there is in that place.

  6. Friend of mine's father was the guy that discovered the Prudhoe Bay fields. He said that there's over 1000 years of oil in the ground, it's just a matter of getting to it. Horizontal drilling and fracking have demonstrated he was spot on with his professional assesment.

Mr Berstram... might have spelled it wrong... he worked for Phillips Petroleum in international development... he told me in the early 80s that if the US did no further exploration, current(1980s ish) reserves were sufficient to supply US needs for the next 600 years..factoring in increasing demand....

  9. Circa 1969 Hi-Line Montana: Oil and Gas found that was too much to measure. Multiple test wells drilled over hundreds of miles. All capped. In 80s Eastern Washington/Oregeon border area Coal discovered also in amounts beyond measure.
    None of this developed.

  11. The Epa is foaming at the mouth to shut it down. SCOTUS just announced that the EPA cant be both judge and executioner of the energy sector under a guise of healthy, safety or the cult of climastrology. The current SCOTUS may very well have saved our constitutional republic with that one alone.

  12. We may not have an "infinite" supply of oil but there is a helluva a lot still out there that we could use. This "shortage" is DELIBERATE. The criminal left is seeking to totally destroy the oil/gas/coal industry and with it the ENTIRE economy. The left HATES America, they HATE all of us and they WILL destroy us if we continue to allow them access to political power.

  13. And what will burning all that oil do to the environment? Why not use non-polluting sources that are becoming more efficient - and CHEAPER - every day. Then we might be able to live and breathe for another 200 years!

    1. Name one that works better and cleaner.
      What's that? There isn't one?

Los Angeles, with twice the people and cars, has air now that is dramatically cleaner than it was 40 years ago. Oops. You could look it up.
Burning oil and gas isn't the problem, and global warming is a hoax.

      Your ball.

  14. The problem is not that we'll run out of oil. The problem is that every year it costs more (energy) to get it out of the ground. There will still be plenty of oil in the ground by the time we get to 1 bbl cost to extract 1 bbl.
