And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Watched this one yesterday. Classic western filmed in Inyo County.
Mariette Hartley's very first acting gig. An absolute A-List of bad guys round out the cast as the cull members of the Hammond family, including the guy that Josey Wales offed after telling him "Dyin' ain't much of a living, Boy".
And then there's the fact that Sam Peckinpah directed it. What's not to love?
Elmo. My absolute favorite line of all Clint Eastwood movies. "You a bounty hunter?" "Times are hard a man's got to do something for a living." Dying ain't much of a living boy." BLAM BLAM BLAM! Tunahatch
Why I hold on to a Hulu membership, it includes Turner Classic Movies. When I watched this one I was amazed that somehow I had missed this classic all those years.
