And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

How To Pronounce Kurwa
My understanding is it's the Polish word for "whore," and used to curse in resignation. Kinda puts a smile on your face to watch.
That one I knew. When I was in Germany, the guy I rented a room from had a Polish girlfriend. She also ran the bar at the local Irish pub. When she was behind the bar she was the biggest flirt with the guys and girls and acted like the ultimate Alpha female tease. She did well in tips. She also forgot to add most of my orders to my tab. Back at the house she waited on my buddy like he was her lord and master. They are in Colorado now with 2 boys and a girl. She still treats him like he was her lord and master.
A while ago I had a few Czech friends, they used the word frequently whenever something or someone annoyed them. One of the most played songs in the dive bars was one where they replaced a word in old sayings for that of a lady's wossname. As in "a **** in time saves nine". Foul mouthed bunch they were, I liked them!
I see it can also mean the f-word.
